These listings are mostly generic style listings with a variety of events.  If you have a particular style of event that you are looking for - dance/music/theatre/sport for instance, then you may like to try an internet search with these individual words and then 'events, Sydney' as well.  If you wish to follow a particular genre, consider subscribing to an email update or RSS feed.

Also look in printed publications including your local and daily newspapers as these usually have a feature on a regular basis.  If you are part of a club, professional association or ethnic group, you can also find out about events in these communities that may be both social and educational.

Our best advice though is that now that you are in Sydney, try going out and enjoying yourself at a variety of events - and invite others to join you so that you can share the fun!
