I will be hosting the second 'Living, Working and Networking in Melbourne' event for the year tomorrow night and again on the second Thursday of each month
from 6pm - 7:30pm.
These events will be followed by general networking from 7:30pm onwards and everyone is always welcome. There was a large group there last month so this new format is working well.
This newsletter also includes details of other events (including a special event for Australian expatriates and repatriates on Harmony Day) and networking tips - happy reading.

LinkedIn is a very useful resource for networking and personal brand management. I encourage all professionals to create a profile and link to people they know and offer to write recommendations for other people and ask them to write recommendations for you.
As so many people have mobile careers, it is an excellent way to keep in touch with your contacts and move them with you to your next job. It is also a good idea to create a straight forward profile name and add this to your email signature (see mine below - and you can connect to me too).
LinkedIn also lists and promotes a variety of events (choose the More tab once you have signed in). It may take a little time to create your profile but I believe that there are many benefits. They are also regularly adding new applications. http://au.linkedin.com/in/sueellson
