This event was first hosted by Newcomers Network on Thursday 26 March 2009 at 1st Contact Australasia and the second on Thursday 9 July 2009 at the Rendezvous Hotel. The third event was at Mag Nation on Thursday 13 August 2009 , the fourth at Mag Nation on Thursday 10 September 2009 the fifth at Mag Nation on Wednesday 11th November 2009 and the sixth on Wednesday 9th December 2009 at the Rendezvous Hotel. 4. Transport

See the Metlink Melbourne website for public transport details. The venue is closest to Flinders Street Railway Station. The nearest trams travel along Swanston Street.

5. Cost

There is no cost to attend this event - and you may also like to register for the Welcome to Melbourne event on Friday night.

6. Refreshments

Water will be available. Please have your own refreshments either before the event or perhaps afterwards with some of the other guests (pay for your own).

7. This event is designed for

People who have moved to Melbourne, from the country, interstate or overseas. This includes expatriates, migrants, international students, Australian repatriates, people on work assignment etc.

People looking for work in Melbourne with international experience.

People wanting to network with international arrivals. Whatever your story, you will be welcome at our events.

8. Event Description

This informative event has been designed to help you learn more about living, working and networking in Melbourne and give you an opportunity to meet other people in the same situation.

You may like to bring your own business or personal card to share with other people you meet or a small notepad and pen if you are given information from others that you would like to keep.

We can host up to 30 guests, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

You will be given a name tag and can start networking with the other guests.
