Please arrive promptly by 6pm and look for the event host who will be giving people a sticky label name tag and invite you to take a seat within a small group. If you arrive earlier, you can order and pay for your own drink from the bar. The discussion will start at 6:10pm so please allow enough travel time to arrive on time.

Suggested participants: People who have moved to Melbourne, from the country, interstate or overseas, usually within the last three years. This includes expatriates, migrants, international students, Australian repatriates, people on work assignment etc.

People wanting to network with international arrivals. Whatever your story, you will be welcome at our events.

Refreshments: Purchase your own, non-alcoholic available or have your own refreshments either before the event or perhaps afterwards with some of the other guests (pay for your own).
Registration details: Complete the registration form now to be added to our mailing list and receive a confirmation email on the Tuesday before the event.

Maximum participants: 30 people, please book early to avoid disappointment
A confirmation email will be sent on the Tuesday before the event.
Several people attend on their own - so don't be shy - and you can also bring a friend who is not new to Melbourne.

Background:
These events have been hosted by Newcomers Network in Melbourne since 26 March 2009 and began running on the second Thursday of every month in January 2011.

All of our events are open to anyone who would like to attend, but this particular event is designed for people who have moved to Melbourne within the last three years.
Purpose: This informative event has been designed to help you learn more about living, working and networking in Melbourne and give you an opportunity to meet other people in the same situation.
