1. Event details

You may have attended one of our Living, Working and Networking in Melbourne events and learnt that there are MANY ways to find work in Melbourne.

But what you would like to do now is work on your own resume, job search strategies and networking to move in the right career direction.

In this informative 90 minute session, you need to bring along:

. a printed copy of your current resume/resumes

. a printed copy of advertisements of jobs you would like to apply for

. written details of the current job search strategies you are using to find work in Melbourne

You will be part of an interactive informative discussion group with other international background job seekers looking for work in Melbourne. Sue Ellson, Founder and Director of Newcomers Network will work with the group (maximum of six people) to establish the best methodologies for you to try and will make suggestions on how to upgrade your resume for the Melbourne marketplace.

You will also find out additional resources you can try to find work, receive direct referrals if possible and a copy of the Jobs and Careers Kit will be emailed to you after the event (value $AUD14.95).

This is a quiet bar and we meet well away from the serving area - turn right as you walk in the double doors and look for the area underneath the electronic screen.

4. Transport

See the Metlink Melbourne website for public transport details. The venue is closest to Flinders Street Railway Station. The nearest trams travel along Swanston Street.

5. Cost

There is a $AUD45 cost to attend this event which must be paid before attending the event.

6. Refreshments

You can purchase a drink from the bar or have your own refreshments either before the event or perhaps afterwards with some of the other guests (pay for your own).

8. Event Description

This informative event has been designed to help you learn more finding work in Melbourne and give you an opportunity to meet other people in the same situation.

You may like to bring your own business or personal card to share with other people you meet and a small notepad and pen if you are given information from others that you would like to keep.

We can host up to six (6) guests only, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
