You may have been living in Brisbane for a week, a month, a year or even a decade.
But have you made the most of your new life in your new location?

These types of events have been hosted by Newcomers Network in Melbourne since 26 March 2009 and started in Brisbane on 14 July 2011. The first Living, Working and Networking in Brisbane events started on 10 February 2010 and have been run on

8 March 2012 and 17 April 2012, 11 July and 8 August 2012 (hosted by Neil Sneddon 0407 961 280 and Jacquie Sadi-Brydon 0468 918 120) and 10 October 2012 by Neil Sneddon.
These events are now held on the second Wednesday of selected months.

5:30pm - 7:30pm (although you are encouraged to stay after the event and mix with the other guests)
Please arrive promptly and ask for 'Newcomers Network' or 'Neil Sneddon' and he will give you a sticky label name tag and invite you to take a seat within a small group. You are invited to purchase a refreshment during the presentation.
4. Transport

It can be time consuming driving in the city, so we encourage you to use public transport. Car parking in the city can be expensive and if you are parking on the street, make sure you read the signs and follow the directions. More information on the Our Brisbane transport and parking website - and of course, please do not drink and drive.
5. Cost
There is no cost to attend this event but you must register to attend the first part of the evening as we are restricted to 10 guests.
6. Refreshments
Please have your own refreshments either before the event or perhaps afterwards with some of the other guests (pay for your own).
7. This event is designed for
People who have moved to Brisbane, from the country, interstate or overseas. This includes expatriates, migrants, international students, Australian repatriates, people on work assignment etc.
People looking for work in Brisbane with international experience.
People wanting to network with international arrivals. Whatever your story, you will be welcome at our events.
8. Event Description
This informative event has been designed to help you learn more about living, working and networking in Brisbane and give you an opportunity to meet other people in the same situation.
You may like to bring your own business or personal card to share with other people you meet or a small notepad and pen if you are given information from others that you would like to keep.
We can host up to 10 guests, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
9. On arrival
You will be given a name tag and can start networking with the other guests. The presentation will start at 6:10pm so please arrive on time.
