About Us

Allan Briggs

Wild storms, gangland shootings and severe floods are all too familiar to Allan Briggs. As Managing Director of Allan Briggs Communications, former manager of VICSES Media and Public Relations Unit and former Sergeant with Victoria Police, emergencies are ‘normal’ business for Allan.

With 16 years experience as an operational police officer and over ten years with the Media and Corporate Communications Department as a Sergeant he attended a wide range of media and public relations events from gangland shootings, lost children, recovering plane wreckage with bodies to coordinating Open Days at the Police Academy with 90,000 visitors. Reporting from the car, roadside, bush track to a barge on a lake is all too familiar.

The recent tragic bushfires required experienced media and public relations officers on scene and Allan was deployed to various locations throughout the event from the fire-front to the Integrated Emergency Coordination Centre.

Keeping within his motto, never stop learning, Allan is currently undertaking his Masters of Communications and lectures part time with several universities in Victoria.
